Cornwall is a county at the south western tip of England, it points out towards the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean. It finishes at "Land's End" the western tip of the British Isles. The boundary of Cornwall with the county of Devon is the River Tamar which almost completely cuts the county off. Cornwall is a Celtic nation and Cornish people are recognised as a distinct ethnic group. It is one of the most visited holiday destinations in the UK largely due to the picturesque rugged coastline interspersed with sandy beaches and picture-postcard villages nestled in numerous small valleys.
